Profile have recently completed this Van Graphics Design project for Chichester based Arc Electrical Contractors.
Profile worked on the Arc Electrical branding many years back, producing the original logo and vehicle livery designs. This minor change is style has refreshed the van designs.
Van Graphics Design
The design of vehicle graphics (or vehicle livery) is a different discipline from the usual design for digital or print work. Vehicles come in all different sizes, shapes and colours. They also have doors that slide or open, breaking into a surface design. It is important to allow for these changes to the surface shape when producing designs.
By their nature vehicle graphics are often seen from distance, or when the vehicle is in motion. This requires that the essential who, where, what information is easily visible on all sides of the vehicle.
Vehicle colour may require that the usual branding design applied to print may need adjusting to work on the van/lorry. Arc uses white vans so this wan’t an issue. On other projects we have have created specific colour versions of the logo to work best on the vehicle.
Arc Electrical
Profile design also recently completed a complete redesign of the Arc Electrical website The new website and vehicles together reflect some of the newer services Arc can offer, these include; Installation of Smart Home systems, installation of electrical vehicle charging point as well as more emphasis on the design side of the business where consultancy for design of electrical systems can be obtained.
Vehicle Graphics
In general most vehicle liveries are produced in self adhesive vinyls that are fairly easily fitted and removed. Particularly popular are complete vehicle wraps where the entire car has a vinyl applied. These can be branded images or photographs or a flat colour. These are popular for customising cars in that you can completely change the colour of your car on a temporary basis leaving the base colour of the car intact when you want to remove or change. the range of colours are endless, chromes, carbons metallics in a rainbow of options.
