Information Graphics Chichester
Profile completed (pre-covid) these pull up information graphics banners profiling the fishermen of Selsey Bill. The project was a joint initiave between Selsey Town Council, Manhood Peninsula Partnership and Chichester District Council. Funding was via lottery funding.
Seas The Day Project
The project set out to record the stories and memories of current fishermen and their families. Fishing in Selsey goes back as far as the fourth century and is the reason the town was established. The Selsey fishermen also have a strong link to the crewing and running of the lifeboat service.
The Seas the Day project engaged the local community with its fishing history. As a result it also introduced them to the current fishing generation. The town and its population have greatly changed over recent decades resulting in fishing no longer being the predominant industry.
Profile Design were supplied with the images and text to create the banners. Each banner features one fishermen or fishing family. The banners feature a short biography and some quotes from interviews with fishermen. The result is an insight in to the lives of those fishing in Selsey. There was a lot of information to include on each panel. The resulting design includes this without feeling cluttered.
Profile Design have many years experience producing graphic displays and signs for museums, exhibitions and events. We work closely with clients to establish what the key objectives of the display might be and who the target audience are. This helps us establish the design approach that will work best and which messages take centre stage on the design work.
Our experience includes the creation of full pop up banners as well as the pull up banners used in this project. We also design and supply other exhibition and display materials as well as undertaking sign design and installation, information graphics, flags and site hoarding design and installation.
