Chichester City Walls Graphics
We are very pleased to see the bronze floor plaques, threshold markers and panels for the Chichester City Walls project installed. We designed the panels, lecterns and plaques back in 2011. The Bronze floor plaques act as directional guides for visitors, the sword illustration acting as a pointer to the next section. There are seven interpretation panels positioned at various locations around the Walls Walk, There are also some etched wall panels along the route that highlight some of the historic facts and buildings in their location.
Profile Design won a competitive tender to work on this prestigious project. Soon to follow are the printed materials – City Walls Guide and Walls Souvenir Book. We have also just completed the design of the City Walls website which hopefully will go live soon.
Having won the tender for The Chichester City Walls project, we soon found ourselves also winning the contract for the complete naming and branding of the new ‘Novium Museum’ which has recently opened, we now feel quite well experienced in the heritage design sector!
Further images of this project can be viewed in the Chichester Council portfolio or on the Display & Signage page.
Andy Howard at Chichester Council was kind enough to supply this testimonial:
Profile Design was appointed to deliver a complete interpretation scheme for the City Walls Project. The programme for such a large project was incredibly tight but Profile delivered a creative and professional suite of material on time and on budget. What set Profile apart from the competition was the time they put into understanding our aspirations and ensuring that these were met. Ideas, changes and tweaks were always met with positive and swift solutions. My thanks go to Profile for managing the project brilliantly and providing results that I am proud to promote.
