Calendar Design
It is the season! we recently completed the design and production of these 3 calendars for national charity The Fishermen’s Mission. As well as host of other Christmas related materials including the annual Christmas appeal mailing. Profile also designed and illustrated several Christmas cards for clients in the run-up to Christmas.
We produced 3 calendars, one for the CAware programme, a partnership between the Fishermen’s Mission and Macmillan Cancer Support. This featured information on the national cancer awareness days relevant to each month as well as specific local information about the local events within the South Shields fishing community.
The Calendar design for The Fishermen’s Mission featured a different recipe from 12 different supporters on each page of the calendar. The Calendar design also features the wonderful linocut illustrations of Mark Lord, whose work features the Fishing community and seafood of the local community. Mark’s studio is near Falmouth, Cornwall.
The Calendar Design was adapted for use by Henry Colbeck a supporter of The Fishermen’s Mission and suppliers to the Fish and Chip shop industry. Although the design looks similar there was a lot of editing to the layout.
